Weekly Reflection #11

Weekly Reflection #11
Written between 10/9/19-10/11/19

During the past two weeks at the BHS Help Desk, we've done a Lightspeed inventory, tried and tested out Unity, talked about Bloxels Edu, talked to Dr. Johnson's period 7 class about drones, talked about Arduinos, adding personal devices to the school wifi, and are now testing and using talent box. As for the Lightspeed inventory, we've covered most of the school so far. The inventory is to find out which teachers have a Lightspeed device in their rooms, for students that have hearing issues. When it comes to Unity, we created some programs and played them. We also modified existing programs that were built in Unity. Bloxels Edu is a program that allows you to build your own video game level, that you can play in. In my opinion, the graphics look like Terraria. This Tuesday, we went to Dr. Johnson's period 7 class and talked about parrot drones and how to use them. They are working on a drone project, that will make the drone move from one door to another door in his classroom. This week we talked about arduinos, we used the arduinos to create some music programs and other things, which was very cool. This week the IT department announced that they would be adding personal devices to the school wifi, as long as you return or buy your current speed device. Most of this week, we have worked on a site called Talent Box. Talent Box is a program that allows the teacher to assign lessons for students to complete. The lessons are teaching things around technology. Thanks for reading and I hope you have a great weekend.
