Weekly Reflection #13

Weekly Reflection #13
Written between 12/16/19 - 12/18/19

During the past month at Help Desk, we have warped up our work on our Amazon Web Services (AWS) chatbots, worked on our Computer Science Education Week (CSED) projects, our Independent Learning Endeavor (ILE), checked out the Glide app, talked about Hour of Code, Swift Playgrounds, and the announcement of the new Xbox. The AWS chatbots were cool and we finished our chatbots and then we watched a video on Google's chatbot, Duplex, that can book a hair appointment. Next Dakota and I created, a CSED presentation for drones, we also had some help from other Help Desk periods. Then I start my outline for my ILE, which is basically the midterm project for Help Desk. For my ILE, I plan to compare the DJI Pro, the DJI Air, and the Tello drones. My comparison will include basic info, footage from each drone, an edited video of the footage, and a Google slide putting all of the parts together. Next, we checked out the Glide app which allows you to create an app with a spreadsheet, very easily. Soon after, we talked about the Hour of Code. First, we talked about the Minecraft program for Hour of Code. Secondly, we talked about Unity and created some basic programs for it. Next, we talked about Swift Playgrounds which allows you to slowly ease into coding with drones. The announcement of the new Xbox console is something I'm pretty hyped about. The new Xbox is going to be called the Xbox Series X, the console is set to be released in Q4 2020. The console will be apart of the ninth generation of consoles. It will also release with backward compatibility with some Original Xbox, Xbox 360, and all Xbox One games, also it will be compatible with all Xbox One accessories as well. Thanks for reading and have a great Christmas break!
